Opened on April 30, 1953 with Louis Heyward in “Captain Pirate”. The Starlet Drive-In was operated by Commonwealth Amusement Corp. and had a capacity for 240-cars. It was later expanded to 400-cars.

Approx. address for this drive-in was 710 East Young Street. Some of the ramps in back are being used for parking (lot is still fan shaped).

The address given by jwmovies of 710 E. Young Street is the correct address for the Starlet Drive-In. The Starlet Drive-In was listed as open in 1953.

The Starlet Drive-In opened its gates on April 30, 1953 with Louis Heyward in “Captain Pirate” along with an unnamed cartoon, featuring a 55x48ft screen and an original capacity of 240 cars. It was first operated by Commonwealth and managed by George Willhoite.
