The Mount Theatre was opened prior to 1941, and continued until at least 1950. In 1968 it was renamed Towne Theatre and closed around late-1983.
It has since been demolished as the site is a parking lot.

The Mount Theater closed in 1966 or ‘67 following the death of its owner. In 1968, it was reopened as the Towne Theater. The Towne remained open until the early 1980s. Several years ago, the building was destroyed by fire.
