United Artists took over the Chester on October 9, 1987.

  • Fun fact: United Artists originally planned to take over the Chester on April 3, 1987, but Litchfield replied that they’ll retain all of its resorts. The takeover didn’t become finalized until October 9, 1987, when the Chester was fully taken over by United Artists themselves.
