The Southside Drive-In was opened on September 18, 1968. It replaced the Mansfield Twin Drive-In.

Opened Weds 9-18-68 according to an article in the Ft Worth Star Telegram. Replaced the South Side Drive-In at I35W and Felix.

The only remnant of the drive-in remaining, apart from its general outline and hints of ramps, is the base of the marquee.

Once operated by McLendon. The Southside Twin closed as a normal drive-in on January 1, 1984 with “Never Say Never Again” and “High Road To China” on one screen, but one other screen’s final normal attractions remained unidentified. The Southside Twin reopened the following day as an adult drive-in, and closed on November 1, 1984.
