The Bama Drive-In was opened on October 25, 1950 with Donald O'Connor in “Curtain Call at Cactus Creek”. It was operated by R.C. Cobb Inc. It was later owned by CineMedia. It suffered damage by a fire on August 6, 1979 and never reopened.
It was demolished in 1980, and a middle school was built on the site.
