Previous Names: Bama Theatre
The Bama Theatre was opened on June 1, 1949 with Gene Raymond in “Sofia”. Seating was listed at 630. The Bama Theatre closed in the late-1960’s. The building is still standing although altered and a new front. It became a gymnasium. In February 2018 it was taken over by Alexander City Theatre II and reopened as a Community Arts Center.
