Lights of Liberty Theater

The Kentuckian Theatre opened on May 17. 1950. The feature film was “Sands of Iwo Jima” starring John Wayne. The Kentuckian Theatre closed in 1970.

It was reopened as the 2-screen Lights of Liberty Theater in September 2013.

Actual opening date is May 17, 1950, yes with the same movie (unknown if extras added). It was first owned by Ralph Cundiff and John W. Weddle, and managed by W. Leon Hisle.
