The Maurim Theatre was built and opened on January 17, 1931 by Louis J. Maurin and could accommodate 250 patrons. For many years it was operated by Affiliated Theatres. It closed as a movie theatre in the late-1950’s.
The theatre was renovated in 1981 and renamed the St. John’s Theatre and Civic Center operated by the St. John’s Catholic Church. It no longer shows movies.

The Maruin’s Theatre opened its doors on January 17, 1931 and closed as a movie theater on May 27, 1979. It was renovated in 1980 and reopened as the St. John’s Theatre and Civic Center the following year in 1981.
