These theaters were built in 1977 in the small strip mall, the Isla Verde Mall, in the Isla Verde tourist area. They opened by Cobb Theatres in late-Summer of 1978 with Warren Beatty in “Heaven Can Wait” & Peter Sellers in “Revenge of the Pink Panther”. They were very small theaters that played B-movie fare such as “Hurricane” and being not too successful, they turned to awful soft core porno such as “The Erotic Adventures of Don Quixote” and later to hard core flicks.
They failed to attract crowds, so they were closed. All in all, they lasted about a year.

As far as I can tell this was the first ( and probably only)theatre in Puerto Rico that played “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. Used to frequent these theatres before their dive into soft-core. They were cheap, and a bunch of us would go Friday or Saturday nights to enjoy such fare as “Used Cars” and “The Big Red One”.

I saw few movies at these theatre, since the Laguna UA150 was nearby and was much, much larger. Last film I saw here was Star Trek: the Motion Picture. I believe this was owned by Cobb Theatres at some point.
This was opened by Cobb Theatres from Alabama on September 8th, 1978. Grand opening ad posted.
