Built on part of the site of the Miami Open Air Drive-In. The Roxy Theatre opened in May of 2012. It was designed by architect John Beam of the architectural firm Mawr+Design, Inc.
In July 2025 permission was approved to convert the building into offices for the school district.

The Roxy replaced the former Miami Open Air Drive-In, which demolished in the mid-1980s.
The school district has approved the purchase of the Roxy Theater building, with plans to convert it into administration offices:
