7-Hi Drive-In

The 7-Hi Drive-In opened June 29, 1950 with William Holden in “Father is a Bachelor”. Car capacity was 350 and the drive-in was closed in the late-1960’s and was demolished in the early-1970’s to make way for a Kmart which opened on November 30, 1972.

The site is now Northern Tool & Equipment.

This opened on June 29th, 1950. Grand opening ad in photo section.

It was actually closed in the late-1960s and was demolished in the early-1970s to make way for a Kmart. The Kmart opened on November 30, 1972 and closed in 2009. Northern Tool + Equipment, Becker Furniture World, Opitz Outlet, and Big Thrill Factory now occupies the former drive-in and Kmart, but the Kmart’s facade are still intact.
