Minnehaha Drive-In

The Minnehaha Drive-In in the Maplewood section of St. Paul was one of the many that my dad worked at when I was growing-up. It was opened on June 14, 1951 with Burt Lancaster in “Mr. 880”. It was closed in 1979 to become a flea market. It was demolished in 1986 to make way for an office building for Wells Fargo Bank which was built in 1994.

Google maps to it fine, if you want to see Historic Aerials you need to use Maplewood instead of St. Paul.

The Minnehaha stopped showing films in 1979 and became a flea market, demolished in 1986 to make way for a 3M building.

Sorry the above address is incorrect.

Now Wells Fargo Bank not 3M. It is further to the west at Stillwater.

The address for this theater was 670 McKnight Rd N, St Paul, MN 55119. Please update.

The current building on the site actually dates to 1994.
