Opened as the Plaza Theatre in 1928, it was renamed the New Plaza Theatre after a remodel and wired for sound in 1931. The theatre seated 270 and was listed as closed in 1939. The building is now used for retail.

The Plaza Theatre opened its doors on October 31, 1927 with the Duncan Sisters in “Topsy And Eva” and the Lupino Lane comedy “A Half-Pint Hero”.
