The Starview Outdoor Theatre was opened May 28, 1948 with Gail Russell in “Our Hearts Were Growing Up”. Car capacity was 600. By 1972 it had been renamed Starview Drive-In. It was operated by Dubinsky Brothers theatres and closed on September 2, 1986.
It was demolished on October 14, 1987 with no traces remaining of the former drive-in.

Boxoffice, May 1, 1948: “LINCOLN – Construction is well in progress on the 800-car drive-in being installed here by the Starview Amusement Corp., controlled by Mannie Burdie and Sidney Schermer of St. Louis. The theatre was designed by Leo F. Abrams, St. Louis architect. The overall cost of the project will be approximately $150,000. The theatre is scheduled to open Memorial day.”
Closed on September 2, 1986 and demolished on October 14, 1987.
