The State Theatre was opened on July 15, 1930 with Jean Hersholt in “Mamba”. By 1941 it was operated by the Griffith Amusement Company. It was still open in 1943, but had closed by 1950.
The building is now the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1657.
