The Bartow Drive-In was constructed and opened in 1950 when it was operated by Gray Barker. By 1950 it was operated by William E. Kisner. The drive-in was closed in July 1986.

The drive-in is located on the east side of Bartow in Frank at the point where US Highway 250 curves to the south.

Today, only the outline of the drive-in remains with the screen having recently been torn down.

I found access to later additions of the Monterey Recorder Newspaper and found ads into 1986 – with the last ad found dated July 4, 1986

The Google mobile has not been that way since November of 2008, so the screen is still visible in street view, for now.

A closer address is 7590 Staunton Parkersburg Turnpike, Bartow, WV.

Google Maps has updated their addresses and this puts it right across the street from where the drive-in once stood.
