The Parkway Cinema was opened in the Flemingate Leisure Centre on 18th December 2015. Seating capacities in the screens are: 108, 109, 170, 170, 183, and for 260 in an auditorium which can also be used for live theatre.

For a modern cinema, the public areas have a nice feel to them, with comfortable sofas and a nice cafe. However, the projection quality for ‘The Odyssey’ (Aug. 2026) was appalling: often so dark that characters' faces could not be seen, plus the colours were very muted. The Manager suggested that it was a “dark film”, which didn’t really explain the dark trailers and dark credits before the feature. We won’t be back.
