Located to the south of Dupont and east of Pittston to the northeast of Wilkes-Barre. The Comerford Drive-In was opened by Comerford Theaters Inc. on September 4, 1948 with June Haver in “Three Little Girls in Blue”. It was still open in 1980.
A Walmart now operates on the site.

The Comerford Drive-In opened its gates on September 4, 1948 with “Three Little Girls In Blue” along with an unnamed Bugs Bunny cartoon and a sports reel. It was still open in 1980, but its closing date remains unknown at this time.
Closed on September 18, 1983 with “Flashdance” and “Cheech And Chong’s Still Smokin”.
