The Wanee Drive-In opened with “Fort Defiance" on May 8, 1952. Kerasotes ran it to the end of lease closing on Labor Day, September 7, 1981 with “Tarzan, the Ape Man” and “Clash of the Titans.”
Boxoffice, May 17, 1952: “Kewanee’s first drive-in, the 400-car Wanee, was to open Thursday (8). The manager is Rud Lohrenz.”
