Coliseum Hall opened in about 1910 in Wittenoom Street behind the Federal Hotel. Renamed Coliseum in November 1911. Movie screenings ceased in January 1925. Coliseum was used live shows until it burnt down on 24th January 1926, and never rebuilt.

A new building was constructed on the site to be used by the Collie Mail newspaper. That has since been demolished and in 2025 the site is a vacant plot.

The site after fire was rebuilt as the building for the Collie Mail newspaper and printing office(mid/late 1920’s to 1980’s when Collie Mail moved out to a new location on Steere Street). Building demolished (date unknown?). The site is currently vacant.
