The original Dwellingup Hall was destroyed by the 1961 bushfires in the Dwellingup bushfires. The Western Australian state Government replaced the burnt down hall with the old school building from the nearby town of Huntly. The current hall is also used by the local CWA(Country Womens Association).
Correction - the entire town of Dwellingup wasn’t designed in the bushfires in 1961. The hotel and the church(Catholic?) survived the 1961 bushfires.
Movies were also screened in the new hall.
