The Elwood Drive-In was opened July 14, 1950 with Maria Montez & Jon Hall in “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves”. It was operated by Trueman T. Rembusch of Syndicate Theatres Ct. based in Franklin. It was closed on September 11, 1983 with Matthew Broderick in “War Games” & Marc Singer in “The Beastmaster”.
The property today is the Indiana Michigan Power Company.

Does anybody know where I can buy a drive in speaker from the old Elwood Drive In? I ran the concession stand there years ago.
