Electric Theatre

Located in Skerries, County Dublin. The Electric Theatre was part of the old Pavilion and was run by the Flanagans who brought electric light to the town of Skerries. It had been operating since the 1910’s and was part of a building that included a roller-skating rink and baths, and the cinema was generally referred to as “the Baths” rather than anything else. The electricity business was sold providing finance for a new Pavilion and the old one was demolished in the mid-1940’s.
