The Ritz Theatre was where talkies were first shown beginning in 1930. It is assumed that the Ritz Theatre was placed in the original Ferguson Theatre which was a silent venue. The theatre appears to have launched on a 20-year lease and closed on April 27, 1950. The venue was used for some live events thereafter.
