The Cactus Drive-In opened in July 1955, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brown, based on a note in the Motion Picture Herald. The Motion Picture Almanac listed it with a capacity of 250 cars in its 1957-59 editions although it was closed and demolished in September 1958.

A 1958 topo map shows a small rectangular drive-in about a mile west of Shoshoni on the south side of US 26. Today the only remains are a driveway and a group of trees.

The Cactus and Westside might be the same drive-in..

A closer address (at least for Google) is 12577 US-26, Shoshoni, WY. This puts it right about the entrance to the property.

As stated in the description, there is essentially no traces of the drive-in remaining.

Boxoffice, Sept. 1, 1958: “Harold E. and Mayme C. Brown have closed and dismantled their Cactus Drive-In, Shoshone (sic), Wyo., and will not open the Regent in town this fall. They are devoting all of their time to their grocery business.”
