The Majestic Cinemas 12 was a new-build multiplex on the edge of the city of Greenville. Independently operated by Majestic Cinemas Texas, they had just one other location in the Majestic Cinemas 6 in Bonham, Texas. The 12-screen location opened on August 15, 1997 with first-run films. The theatre would make the conversion to digital and was still operating in the 2020’s.

“In Greenville, the Majestic 12 Theatre will close for good Sunday night. The 1401 E. Joe Ramsey Blvd. movie theatre has served the area’s communities for 28 years. The theater announced on its Facebook page today that the final movie will begin at 7:55 pm on Sunday, May 18. Cinemark has plans to build an 8-screen theatre as part of a large entertainment center on Interstate 30. The 10-acre complex is to be called Gamescape.”
Cinemark is building an 8-screen Gamescape complex nearby.
