The Chapeltown Picture House was previously operating at 64 Chapeltown Street (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The 72-seat Chapeltown Picture House opened at this new location in the Cheetham Hill district of Manchester on 25th July 2019. It screens cult films, classic films and independent films. Only persons over the age of 18 are allowed to enter. It has a licenced bar and originally a restaurant.
Around September 2023 it was renamed Cultplex. In 2025 the former restaurant was converted into two more screens opening on 1st October 2025, one with 108-seats, and a third 8-screen micro cinema. The original screen has been enlarged to 108-seats.

Around September 2023 the Chapeltown Picture House changed its name to Cultplex. In 2025 a major revamp saw the cinema expand into the space previously occupied by the GRUB food hall and the creation of two additional auditoriums. The revamped cinema re-opened on 1st October 2025 with 108 seats in Screen 1, 40 in Screen 2 and an 8-seat ‘micro’ auditorium.
