Located in Callander, Perthshire. The Picture House was opened by 1948 when it was operated by the A.B. King circuit. It was renamed Playhouse Cinema by 1953. It had a narrow entrance to the left of the building. It was equipped with a British Acoustic (BA) sound system and had a 19ft wide proscenium. It was operated by the Caledonian Associated Cinemas Ltd. chain and booked by A.B. King. It was still open in 1963, but had closed by 1966.
It now operates as the Chinese Village Restaurant using the original cinema entrance while the remainder of the building is in use as a bar named the Riverside Inn.
