Located in West Cornforth, 5 miles northeast of Ferryhill, County Durham. The Regent Cinema was opened by William Wilfred Turnbull in January 1933. Initially it programmed cine-variety, but after 1934 it went over to cinema use only.It was equipped with a British Thomspon-Houston(BTH) sound system. It was equipped with CinemaScope in 1955 and was closed in 1957 and was demolished in 1963.
