The Cinema Pacifica was operating from the 1950’s. It was closed in the 1970’s and was demolished.
A building built on the site was occupied by the Vanuatu National Provident Fund (VNPF). It suffered damage in a December 17, 2024 earthquake and the top floor was demolished.

Photo - Vanuatu Memories - The Cinema Pacifique in 1960s/70s prior to it being torn down. It was the famous theatre house in town then. This is where the VNPF building is now.
