This article provides valuable information about the Old Miller Theater in Pine Bluff. Its story has been forgotten for so long that only now are some people beginning to understand the building’s significance.

I do disagree with the person who was referenced as the building’s most important visitor. The most important visitor at this building was the legendary blues star, Ethel Waters (U.S. Postage Stamp, Grammy Hall of Fame, Hollywood Walk of Fame, etc). Her visit came as part of the historic touring music revue of Black Swan Records, the first major African American record company in the U.S. This revue and several others that came through the doors of the Miller Theater was associated with T.O.B.A. (Theater Owners Booking Association), the first national touring circuit for African Americans music performers.

I have numerous articles I have collected on this building. Its history is quite fascinating with far uses than I could write about here. Currently, we are working in Pine Bluff to preserve the building and its history
