Majestic Theatre

This theatre appears on the December 1908 Sanborn. It was located in the eastern half of a two story brick commercial building constructed sometime before 1886. The 1899 map shows a clothing store here.

The theatre was listed at this address in the 1914-15 AMPD, but it had closed at that point, as the June 1914 Sanborn shows a furniture store here. It was remodeled in 1916.

The building today is in good shape. The present facade is definitely not from the 1880’s, and was likely added sometime 1910-20. The theater space is an office.
