Garden Theatre

This theater is listed in Yearbooks from 1926 through 1929. No capacity is listed, and it’s unclear whether it was open. This tiny town does not appear in the 1914-15 AMPD.

Unfortunately, the 1926 map is not available online. It’s possible that this was somewhere on N. Bridge Street, which contained most of the businesses. There are still a few surviving buildings on the east side south of Mill Street that do not appear on the 1913 map, and one of those may have been the theatre. There was also a very old opera house at the NE corner of W. Clark Street and Front Street. Judging by the bungalow there now, that may have been gone by the early-1920’s.
