The UCI Cinemas Leonardo Park opened its doors on December 17, 1999 as the first ever multiplex movie theatre for United Cinemas International, featuring an original capacity of 2,400 seats and nine screens, costing an estimate amount of $16.6 million in United States money.
This multiplex later in its life expanded from time-to-time, and now housed 24 screens and 6,000 seats. The theatre itself was part of the multi-entertainment complex called TimeCity, which housed an arcade, a 10-lane Brunswick bowling alley, a bar, a casino with slots and poker, and a lounge.
