This large airdome first appears on the January 1910 Sanborn (although doubtless closed for the season!). It was a well-built structure with arena seating and a large tin clad stage at the rear. It was almost certainly associated with the Beldorf Theatre, which it was located to the south of.
It appears at this time that the theater may not have been showing films, but the 1916 map shows the seating extended to be flush with the street, and a small booth containing the ‘picture machine’ added.
This theater had disappeared by 1923, when the block was completely built out. The theater was located roughly where the hardware store is today.
