Moving Pictures was listed in the Masonic Lodge on Sanborn Maps 1910 at San Benito Street and 4th Street.
The San Jose Mercury reported Elmer Tomkins, who had been operating the Opal Theatre in the Masonic Lodge, moved the Opal Theatre into its new location, which opened in September 1911.
San Jose Mercury reported in 1908 of another Opal Theatre in Hollister at the corner Fifth Street and East Street.
The Masonic Lodge, designed by Central Coast architect William Weeks, opened in 1906 as reported in the San Benito Free Lance on the rededication of the lodge on April 16, 2011.
