Theater

Constructed sometime between 1901 and 1905 as the Iola Planing Mill, this large one story brick building had been converted into a theater by May 1912.

A stage was added at the rear, and the central entry was covered by a small awning. Located well off the square, and facing plentiful competition, this theater had been converted to a garage and dealership by 1917.

The building on the site today is an old Chrysler/Plymouth dealership which could well be the original building, most likely with a new front section. It appears well kept, but the usage is unclear.
