The Victory Theatre was opened on December 24, 1943 with Judy Garland in “Presenting Lily Mars”. In October 1947, Charles Grove sold “his 300-seat Victory Theatre to R. L. Gastrost,” per a note in Showmen’s Trade Review.
The 1950 Film Daily Year Book listed the Victory with 256 seats.
On June 3, 1953, Exhibitor magazine reported, “R. L. Gatrost closed his Victory Theatre, Vine Grove, Ky.”
