Peerless Theatre

This theater appears on the April 1912 Sanborn. It was located in a small one story tin-fronted stone building, which appears to have been built by 1897, most likely replacing some structures destroyed in a June 1893 fire. The 1906 map shows a harness shop here.

The theater seems to have been powered by a gas engine in an outbuilding. It was still listed in the 1914-15 AMPD (with a bogus E Main address), but closed before 1926.

In 2010, the building was being used by a florist in a neighboring building, but it appears to be vacant, and not in good shape.
