Situated in Újbuda, the 11th District of South Buda, in Budapest, construction on the Allee Mall began in 2007, coinciding with the building of Metro Line 4.
The Mall opened two years later. It includes, on the top of its four levels, Cinema City Allee, which opened on 12th November 2009. It was the city’s first multiplex to have 3D digital projection, but each screen also had a Kinoton 35mm projector.
In 2011, the original Christie digital projectors were replaced by Barco equipment.
In December 2018, the original blue and red seating was replaced by new red plush.
Seating capacities are: Screen 1:168, Screen 2:181, Screen 3:221, Screen 4:153, Screen 5:153, Screen 6:126, Screen 7:135, Screen 8:117, Screen 9:126, Screen 10:84, Screen 11:72, Screen 12:84 and Screen 13:83.
The screens vary in size from 8m x 3.3m in the smallest halls to 13m x 5.4m in the largest.
