Low Cinema is a 44-seat neighborhood movie theater that features a wide range of programming: from beloved genre fare and kids' matinees to cult classics and obscure documentaries, a mix of repertory and recent releases.
Ridgewood was once home to many majestic movie theaters like the RKO Madison, the Parthenon, and the Ridgewood Theater, which have all turned into gyms, pharmacies, and discount stores (no shade to gyms, pharmacies, and discount stores). The partners — John Wilson, Davis Fowlkes, and Cosmo Bjorkenheim — share a love for movies as a shared experience and want to help bring this experience back to the neighborhood.
