The Conroe’s Play House placed its first advertisement on June 22, 1916, screening Tom Moore in “Who’s Guilty”(aka “The Irony of Justice). It closed or placed its last advertisement on October 12, 1923. It shows up on the 1923 Sanborn map. It was demolished and the Crighton Theatre was built on the site in 1935 (It has its own page on Cinema Treasures).
