The Cine Gran Bourge was opened in the early-1950’s. It was one of the largest cinemas in Buenos Aires. It was owned by the Lococo Film Company. The proscenium was 15 metres wide with a 14 metres wide CinemaScope screen and stereophonic sound.

The Cine Gran Bourg was closed in 1969 and was demolished to build an apartment tower with a post office at street level.
