Takatsuki Cinema Route 170

The Takatsuki Cinema Route 170 is a short-lived multiplex opening as an attempted replacement for the Takatsuki Shochiku Central on July 21, 2000 with 1,037 seats and 7 screens, although the nearby twin-screen Shochiku, which had been operating since 1983, continued to operate as a movie theater but ended up changing its policy from first-run films to independent films and older releases such as second-runs and classic movies to gain steam with that theater’s business.

It was closed on June 28, 2007 when the nearby Takatsuki Loco 9 Cinema inside the Act Amore transferred its operations from Toho to Joy Plaza, which that theater became part of the Joy chain two days later.
