This early cinema appears as a ‘Cheap Theatre’ (possibly a nickelodeon?) on the November 1911 Sanborn.
It was located in an old wooden storefront which was built sometime before 1886. The 1904 map shows a saloon here. The building was not very deep, and would have had a very small capacity. It is shown on the 1911 map as two stories, but prior and subsequent maps show it as one story. This theater was almost certainly closed when the far superior Crystal Theatre opened around 1914. The 1917 map shows a barber here.
This building was demolished long ago, possibly first replaced by a brick storefront, but later by a large ugly bank which has eaten half the block. It was located just to the west of the last remaining storefront on the east side.
