Listed as a nickelodeon in March 1921 as the Wonderland Casino, operated by Yale Amusement Co. It had 150-seats. This theater appears on the 1909 Sanborn. It was located in a large two-story brick arcade built sometime after 1896, when this corner was occupied by numerous smaller structures.
The theater is listed as one of three Yale’s theaters in the 1914-15 AMPD. It may have dropped that part of the name later. It was still open in 1922, but was demolished around 1925 for the construction of the current occupant of the site, an elegant tile-covered building which seems to have also been built as a shopping arcade.

The December 28, 1907 issue of The Show World mentioned the Yale Amusement Company and the Yale film Rental Company of Kansas City, both headed by an A. D. Flinton. The Yale Amusement Company had been mentioned in passing in the June 24, 1905 issue of The Billboard.
I’m seeing four houses operated by Yale listed in the 1914-1915 AMPD: The Wonderland and Princess, plus Yale’s Crystal at 1205 Grand and Yale’s Automat Theatre, 1116 Main Street.
The Yale Film Company offices were located above the Lyric, which likely was part of the ‘chain’ at one point.
