Theater

This theater appears on the 1909 Sanborn. It was located in the northern half of a two story brick commercial building dating to sometime before 1896, when the map shows what was likely a hardware store here. The conversion to a theater appears to have involved relocating the stairwell from a central position.

This theater seems to have closed before 1914-15, as it is not listed in the AMPD. This whole section of the block was demolished by 1931, when the Fidelity National Bank & Trust Company razed their offices in the old US courthouse and custom house, and constructed an Art Deco style skyscaper.
