Suiway Theatre

This theater appears on the 1909 map. It was located in the northern half of a three story brick commercial building that was constructed sometime after 1896, when the map shows a house and the fire department headquarters on this site.

The theater operated at least through 1914-15, as it is listed in the AMPD. It appears to have closed by 1926. The 1939 map shows a photo studio at this address, but the building was demolished sometime around 1947 to allow the construction of the shabby old parking garage that occupies the site today.
