Thomas C. Lacey and W.A. Carey opened the Palace Theater, Muncie’s third moving picture theater, on December 24, 1906. Lacey and Carey sold the Palace Theater to John Becknell in June 1907. On January 7, 1908, the local newspaper reported that Becknell had closed the Palace Theater and moved the equipment to Robinson, IL.
