Theater

This theater appears on the 1912 Sanborn. It was located in a simple one story storefront of concrete block and wood, which was constructed sometime after 1905. It’s possible this portion of the structure was intended as a theater.

If this theater operated until 1914-15, it may have been the original Garden Theater (or that name may have belonged to an airdome across the street). In any case, the 1922 map shows dry goods and groceries sold here.

The building today has a rather unsightly cheap facade of plywood and a tacky shingle awning. It appears to be office space.
